The orange saree worn by Mumtaz- in ‘Aaj Kal there a mere Pyar ’ song in the 1968 film ‘Brahmachari’ -became an instant hit. The saree, draped in an unusual manner, became a new and stylish way of flaunting a thin frame. The style is still known by all and sundry as the ‘Mumtaz saree’.
